The Automation Process:

  1. Regular Scheduling: Workflow triggers automatically every 48 hours via cron job
  2. Complete Inventory: Lists all droplets in your DigitalOcean account
  3. Snapshot Analysis: For each droplet, retrieves and counts existing snapshots
  4. Intelligent Filtering: Identifies droplets with excess snapshots (over the configurable threshold)
  5. Automatic Cleanup: Systematically removes oldest snapshots to maintain optimal count
  6. Fresh Backups: Creates new snapshots for all droplets

The entire process runs without human intervention, scaling effortlessly as your infrastructure grows while maintaining consistent backup practices.
